The Supernatural Disaster Management Bureau is a government organization concerned with paranormal incidents, civilian rescue and the possibility of bringing ghost stories to an end.
01From investigation to response
The fan overview distinguishes reconnaissance from emergency response. Its Preliminary Investigation Unit examines emerging incidents and assesses their development; the Dispatch & Rescue Unit responds when civilians are already caught inside a supernatural event. A cleanup unit deals with the aftermath.
The overview also distinguishes administrative staff from active field agents; administrative staff do not use field codenames.
02Reading the organization
The Bureau uses its own classification vocabulary, described by the source as sanction levels. Those labels should not be treated as interchangeable with Daydream's grades. Read the company overview alongside this page to keep the two organizations' language and responsibilities distinct.
03Editorial reading: three different questions
The unit structure offers a way to organize a complicated incident: what is developing, who is trapped, and what remains afterward? These are different questions even when they concern the same place. Our reading treats that division as a useful guide to a scene, rather than assuming that every Bureau appearance is a rescue operation.
The contrast with Daydream is therefore about the work being performed, not a simple ranking of which organization is stronger. Pay attention to the task, the people exposed to danger and the information each participant has. A faction name alone cannot answer those questions.
04Suggested reading route
Read Agent Bronze next for a character attached to the Dispatch & Rescue Unit. Return to Daydream Inc. to compare the two workplace structures. Both pages summarize affiliations; neither substitutes for the choices and conflicts shown in the story itself.
